Course StructureKey features of the programme The learning model centres around cluster groups of around 10 participants directing their own learning using tried and tested NPSLBA materials ( which are regularly reviewed by the Pan London group). The emphasis is on exploring the relationship between theory – considered in the study days and cluster sessions – and practice – carried out in work based activities. The combination of theory and practice is at the core of the LPSLBA.
Structure: The programme is completed within a year, and includes:
- 3 centrally led study days
- 10 twilight cluster sessions, participants decide which topics they wish to study from a broad range
- 3 work based activities providing the opportunity for participants to apply theory to practice and to reflect on their own development as leaders
- the submission of a portfolio which evidences reflection on learning during the programme
Course Materials - The basic course materials were developed by the National Stratagies and have been reviewed in 2011. The Pan London Group is committed to the development of course materials and is currently compiling additional resources that will support participants on the programme.
