Social and emotional learning

At Behaviour Works we believe that social and emotional learning underpins positive behaviour and is a vital key to raising standards.

In our role as local authority consultants we have worked with many schools to implement the National Strategy SEAL programme. From our experience with SEAL, we have a sound understanding of the best practice in developing pupils social and emotional skills and the need for a whole school approach to this work.

We have experience in working with senior leadership teams in auditing current practice, and putting in place effective action plans to develop this work.We can offer:

  • A social and emotional skills learning walk / audit of current school practice
  • Whole school training
  • Curriculum development
  • Tailor made tutorial programmes for years 7- 11 to develop a range of social and emotional skills
  • Bespoke training for groups of staff e.g. developing resilience, improving listening skills, promoting empathy, using circle time.
